EDUC 2283 - Foundations of Diverse Learners 3 Credits This course introduces the history of special education including the litigation and legislation, the characteristics of exceptionalities, modifications, and accommodations. Legal foundations and issues, special education terminologies, and professional roles will be explored. Course goals will be accomplished through the use of lecture, discussion, cooperative group work, and field experiences.
Prerequisite: EDUC 2243 Foundations of Education and PSYC 2023 Child Growth And Development Typically Offered: Fall, Spring
