Academic Probation and Suspension

A cumulative grade-point average of 2.00 is required for the successful completion of all degree and certificate programs. A student’s National Park College grade-point average will be determined only by the grades earned in courses taken at National Park College.

Any student who falls below a cumulative 2.00 grade-point average at National Park College will be placed on academic probation by the Registrar’s office for the next semester. A cumulative 2.00 grade-point average must be earned to be removed from probation. If a student falls below a cumulative 2.0 grade-point average for more than two consecutive semesters, the student must meet with an academic advisor and will be restricted to two courses.

Any student who falls below a cumulative 1.00 grade-point average after two semesters of probation will be suspended for the next semester. Upon readmittance, the student will remain on probation, must meet with an academic advisor, and will be restricted to no more than two courses.

Transfer students are subject to the same probationary requirements. Although all course work and grades earned at another institution will be recorded on the National Park College transcript, the total National Park College grade-point average will be determined only by the grades earned while attending National Park College.
