MATH 1123 - College Algebra 3 Credits College Algebra provides the student with a foundation in problem solving in these topics: functions, graphing techniques, polynomial, rational exponential, and logarithmic functions; systems of equations and inequalities, matrices, and determinants, sequences and series, and the binomial theorem. Concepts and problem solving are presented from both the traditional and graphing calculator approaches. A graphing calculator is required, and the TI-83+ calculator is recommended.
Prerequisites: LAD 9024 - Foundations of College Math 2 with a grade of “C” or better, or two years of high school algebra and compliance with state/NPCC placement test standards.
