NUR 2210 - Nursing Process V 10 Credits The focus of this course is on complex medical/surgical conditions in the provision of safe, patient centered care to developmentally and culturally diverse adult patients. Students apply the nursing process and utilize information literacy skills to demonstrate clinical decision-making that is grounded in evidence based practice to achieve best practice outcomes. Incorporating quality improvement, professional standards, and legal and ethical responsibilities of the associate degree nurse as applied in the acute care and high acuity settings. Emphasis will be placed on prioritization of care through collaboration with other members of the health care team, patients and their families. Application of knowledge and skills occurs in a variety of in-patient and out-patient clinical settings.
Prerequisites: NUR 2303 . NUR 2107 , PSYC 1103 . Corequisite: ENG 1123 .
