BUS 2203 - Business Law** 3 Credits This course is an introduction to the American legal system as it applies to the environment in which businesses operate. Focus is on the basic principles of contracts, negotiable instruments, real and personal property sales, secured property, insurance, bankruptcy, wills, trusts, and probate estates.
Course Level Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Interpret the basic legal principles and the role of government regulation in business. (GEO 2)

3. Describe business torts and crimes. (GEO 1, 3)
4. Compare the types of contracts. (GEO 2, 3)
5. Differentiate personal property and real property. (GEO 3)
