LAD 9113 - Integrated Reading and Writing 3 Credits Integrated Reading and Writing seeks to ensure that students are prepared to undertake college-level study; to use knowledge in critical ways; to think, read, and write critically; and to master literacy skills for classes in all college subjects.
Prerequisite: Appropriate placement score
Course Level Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Assess and employ basic reading strategies. (GEO 3)
2. Formulate ideas and opinions based on readings. (GEO 1)
3. Compose coherent, unified, and well supported sentences, paragraphs, and essays. (GEO 2)
4. Improve vocabulary. (GEO 1, 4)
5. Write properly using the rules of grammar and punctuation. (GEO 1)
