ENG 2393 - Creative Writing* 3 Credits Through a workshop format, students will generate creative writing projects in both prose and verse, learn techniques for critiquing their peers’ work, read and analyze creative writing texts-such as short stories and poetry-and learn how to publish their work. Students will also complete a publication project.
Course Level Objectives Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
1. Generate creative writing projects in both prose and verse. (GEO 1, 3)
2. Use techniques, styles, and forms for imaginative writing. (GEO 3)
3. Collaborate constructively in a workshop environment. (GEO 1, 4)
4. Appraise structures and techniques used in published fiction and poetry. (GEO 2, 3)
