RAD 1704 - Radiographic Procedures II 4 Credits Radiographic Procedures II provides instruction in the radiographic positioning of structures and organs of the human body and is a continuation of RAD 1404 Radiographic Procedures I . This course will provide students instruction and application of the lower extremities, pelvis, hip, vertebral column, and bony thorax. The instruction will be supplemented with application in the laboratory setting and clinical education sites.
Prerequisite: RAD 1303 Introduction To Radiography , RAD 1404 Radiographic Procedures I , RAD 1502 Clinical Education I
Corequisite: RAD 1512 Clinical Education II , RAD 1903 Radiation Protection & Biology , RAD 2303 Radiation Physics
Course Level Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Identify and describe the anatomy and fundamental radiologic pathological findings of the lower extremities, pelvis, hip, vertebral column, and bony thorax. (PLO 1)
2. Produce radiographic images on manikins to demonstrate proper positioning and technical factor selection in the laboratory setting (PLO 1, 6, 7)
3. Assess radiographic images for accuracy in positioning and technical factor selection, ensuring compliance with established standards. (PLO 7)
