AST 1213 - Basic Electrical 3 Credits This course offers an introduction to basic electrical systems, including basic multimeter usage, circuit testing, circuit protection devices, wiring and wire repair, and electrical schematics and symbols.

Course Level Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Identify basic electrical components and operation (PLO 1, 2, 3)
2. Select proper basic electrical procedures and techniques (PLO 1, 2, 3, 5, 6)
3. Diagnose basic electrical problems and related concerns (PLO 1, 2, 3, 5)
4. Choose relative service information (PLO 1, 2, 3, 6)
5. Provide appropriate and ethical customer service (PLO 4, 5, 6)
