PE 1543 - Introduction to Coaching Methods 3 Credits
Students will learn the fundamentals of game play concepts and strategies, official rules, and team management in baseball/softball, basketball, and soccer. Positional skills and training techniques for each sport will be covered.
Course Level Objectives
1.Identify the proper terminology and application of the rules in each of the sports covered in theclass. (GEO 2, 3)
2.Identify positional skill requirements and coaching strategies in each sport. (GEO 2, 3)
3.Identify effective leadership and management techniques used in coaching. GEO 2, 3)
