HSEM 1043 - Principles and Practices of Emergency Management3 Credits
This course focuses on the philosophical and theoretical underpinnings of the emergency management profession and the principles that define effective practice. The starting points are current definitions of emergency management, the mission and vision of the profession, and the principles of emergency management. As part of the course requirements, students will be expected to complete certain EMI courses pertaining to relevant subject matter. Priority will be given to those students seeking a Certificate of Proficiency in Homeland Security/Emergency Management.
