NUR 1001 - Critical Thinking Applications I1 Credits
Critical Thinking Applications I will provide opportunities for the first semester nursing student to practice in simulated patient care situations within a laboratory setting. Nursing skills and procedures, within a nursing process format, will be utilized to stimulate the student to think critically, problem solve, and make clinical decisions while applying fundamental nursing principles and evidenced based practice guidelines. Quality and safety principles are also emphasized throughout the course. NUR 1001 is taught concurrently with NUR 1108 Nursing Process I . All students must satisfactorily pass NUR 1001 in order to progress to the 2nd semester nursing course, NUR 1208 Nursing Process II .
