PHMT 2012 - Preparing for the Profession2 Credits The course is a final review of skills learned throughout the pharmacy core curriculum. Main pharmacy topics reviewed in this course will be the sub divisions of the practice of pharmacy covered in the national exam. The pharmacy practice material covered in this course includes: assisting the pharmacist in serving patients, maintaining medication and inventory control systems, and participating in the administration and management of pharmacy practice. This course runs concurrently with pharmacy internships to assist students in the successful completion of all internship objectives. Students will sit for the national exam as part of this course and preparation for this exam will be the primary focus of the course. In preparation for the students’ job search a cover letter, resume, reference list, and the composition of a thank you response to a potential employer will be created.
Prerequisites: Program Director Approval.
