CIS 1633 - Configuring Windows 83 Credits Microsoft Exam 70-687. This course prepares students to master configuration and support for Windows 8 computers, devices, users, and associated network and security resources. Students are prepared to work with networks configured as domain-based or peer-to-peer environments with access to the Internet and cloud services. In addition, students will have mastered the skills required to be a consultant, full-time desktop support technician, or IT generalist who administers Windows 8-based computers and devices as a portion of their broader technical responsibilities. Additional skills addressed in this course: 1) install and upgrade to Windows 8; 2) configure hardware and applications; 3) configure network connectivity; 4) configure access to resources; 5) configure remote access and mobility; 6) monitor and maintain Windows clients; 7) Configure backup and recovery options.
Prerequisites: CIS 2113 - Windows Server Fundamentals Corequisite: CIS 1613 - Network Pro .
