MATH 1123 - College Algebra* 3 Credits College Algebra provides the student with a foundation in problem solving in these topics: functions, graphing techniques, polynomial, rational exponential, and logarithmic functions; systems of equations and inequalities, matrices, and determinants, sequences and series, and the binomial theorem. Concepts and problem solving are presented from both the traditional and graphing calculator approaches. A graphing calculator is required, and the TI-83+ calculator is recommended.
Prerequisite: ACT Math score of 20 or higher or COMPASS Algebra score of 41-100 or ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra score of 84 or higher or a ‘C’ or better in LAD 9024 - Foundations of College Math 2 ACTS Equivalent Course Number: MATH 1103
