Pharmacy Technician Technical Certificate

A pharmacy technician performs tasks related to the receipt, preparation, and distribution of prescription medications to hospital patients and pharmacy customers; technicians assist a pharmacist in pharmacy operations. The Technical Certificate in Pharmacy Technology is a 12-month program educating students through lecture, laboratory exercises, and internship rotations. Students will sit for the national certification exam in this program. Graduates may be employed in retail, hospital, or specialty pharmacy settings

* Please note the externship course requires daily attendance in the clinical experience. Assignments are generally 7-8 hour shifts and may include morning, afternoon or evening hours.Courses prerequisite to another class require a minimum grade of “C” in order to advance to the next course.
