Professional Medical Coding Technical Certificate

A professional medical coder transforms verbal descriptions of diseases, injuries, and procedures into alphanumeric designations. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible for entry-level positions as coders in hospitals, clinics, and a variety of other healthcare facilities. Graduates are eligible to take the National Certification Exam for Certified Coding Associate (CCA).

Courses prerequisite to another class require a minimum grade of “C” in order to advance to the next course. Any deviation from this list requires permission of the program director.
