The Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree consists of 28 credit hours in humanities, social and biological sciences along with 38 credit hours of nursing coursework for a total of 66 credit hours. At the time of application to the ASN program, a student must either be enrolled in or have completed CHEM 1104 Chemistry for Non-Majors and BIOL 2224 Anatomy and Physiology I with a “C” or better and GPA of 2.75 or higher. The remaining courses in arts and sciences must be completed at particular points during the program with a “C” or better to progress in the program.
