The networking curriculum prepares students for entry-level employment in Information Technology (IT). Information Technology involves giving technical support computer systems and networking. Coursework includes courses in computer hardware maintenance, networking and communication basics, Microsoft and Linux networking, and general education including communications, math and social sciences. Students are prepared for career opportunities in design, support and maintenance of complex network infrastructures . All courses listed in the catalog are required, but the sequence of courses taken is based on what is best to succeed, availability, and the necessity for prerequisites.
Graduates who complete the 31 credit-hour certificate will possess the basic programming skills and will be introduced to computer hardware and networking. Students acquiring the Networking Certificate will be qualified to work as an entry-level network associate with the required background for developing more advanced networking skills.

NPC Business Division Graduation Requirement
A cumulative average of C (2.0) is required for graduation for all NPC programs. In addition, in order to graduate with any Business Division degree or certificate, all Business Division courses must be passed with a grade of “C” or better.
