The Associate of Arts (AA) degree is composed of 60 credit hours and can be an affordable standalone degree or the foundation for a bachelor’s degree. By exploring a range of subject matter taught by our experienced faculty, you will be in a position to excel. The AA will help you strengthen your communication and critical thinking skills while you accumulate the core credits required by every four-year university:  English, math, science, etc.

Program Structure:

The Associate of Arts Degree gives students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university the opportunity to complete the first two years of course work leading to a baccalaureate degree. According to the Arkansas Department of Higher Education (ADHE), Associate of Arts degree graduates may be required to complete additional lower-division courses.

The Associate of Arts degree courses are offered in a variety of formats including blended, online, or web-enhanced.  The Fully Online Option is designed to provide students with a fully online path to completion of the Associate of Arts degree.

National Park College (NPC) defines an online course as “a course in which 100% of the content is presented online. Some courses may require students to take proctored exams on-campus or at another testing location. Courses requiring a lab component may require up to two on-campus meetings for labs.  Computer literacy is required.”  NPC further defines a fully online program as “one in which 100% of courses are regularly offered as online courses.”
