The NPC Honors Program offers motivated students the opportunity to participate in a more challenging and rewarding academic experience that will prepare them for transfer into four-year colleges. The NPC Honors Program is designed to promote critical thinking, stimulate intellectual growth, and provide a humanistic perspective to complex issues using an interdisciplinary approach. The NPC Honors Program will elevate the scholarship, leadership, preparedness, and cultural awareness of our graduates. The Honors curriculum is not designed simply to be additional work for students, but rather work of a different type; work that promotes active and experiential learning, and fosters intellectual independence. Those who complete the honors curriculum will receive a special Honors-only diploma upon graduation and recognition at the graduation ceremony highlighting their academic distinction.
