Continuation of ENG 1113 - English Composition I*. Study of good writing and rhetorical style. Students develop research skills through writing a formal, documented paper.

Prerequisite: ENG 1113 - English Composition I* with a grade of “C” or better.

Course Level Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Create rhetorically appropriate work that demonstrates an understanding of purpose, audience, context, and genre conventions. (1, 2, 3)
Identify the standards of written English, especially in regard to grammar, mechanics, and usage. (3)
