LAD 9113 - Integrated Reading and Writing 3 Credits Integrated Reading and Writing seeks to ensure that students are prepared to undertake college-level study; to use knowledge in critical ways; to think, read, and write critically; and to master literacy skills for classes in all college subjects.
Prerequisite: Appropriate placement score
Course Level Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Assess and employ basic reading strategies. (GEO 3)
- Formulate ideas and opinions based on readings. (GEO 1)
- Compose coherent, unified, and well supported sentences, paragraphs, and essays. (GEO 2)
- Improve vocabulary. (GEO 1, 4)
- Write properly using the rules of grammar and punctuation. (GEO 1)
