                  AST 2103 - Ignition & Emission Systems   3 Credits  This course will detail the operations and servicing of the ignition and emission systems and related components found in a typical passenger vehicle. Electrical and mechanical components and their controls will be covered.
  Prerequisite: Technical Certificate in Automotive Service Technology or completion of the 2 Year High School Program or Instructor Approval
   Course Level Objectives  Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
	- Identify ignition system components and operation (PLO 1, 2, 3)
 
	- Identify emission system components and operation (PLO 1, 2, 3)
 
	- Select proper repair procedures and techniques (PLO 1, 2, 3, 5, 6)
 
	- Diagnose ignition and emission problems and related concerns (PLO 1, 2, 3, 5)
 
	- Choose relative service Information (PLO 1, 2, 3, 6)
 
	- Provide appropriate and ethical customer service (PLO 4, 5, 6)
