PE 1543 - Introduction to Coaching Methods 3 Credits Students will learn the fundamentals of game play concepts and strategies, official rules, and team management in baseball/softball, basketball, and soccer. Positional skills and training techniques for each sport will be covered.
Course Level Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify the proper terminology and application of the rules in each of the sports covered in theclass. (GEO 2, 3)
- Identify positional skill requirements and coaching strategies in each sport. (GEO 2, 3)
- Identify effective leadership and management techniques used in coaching. GEO 2, 3)
- Demonstrate appropriate professional communication, demeanor, and conduct. (GEO 1, 3, 4)
