CIS 2613 - Server OS 3 Credits This course provides the student with the skills and knowledge necessary to implement the latest core Windows Server infrastructure in an existing enterprise environment in either an on-premises strategy or an in the cloud
strategy. The course covers implementing, managing, maintaining and provisioning services and infrastructure in a Windows Server environment and implementation and configuration of core services including Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), networking services, and Microsoft Hyper-V Server configuration.

Corequisite: CIS 2183 Windows Client OS
Course Level Objectives Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate installation and configuration of the latest Windows Server Operating System and add roles or features to the latest Windows Server Operating System. (PLO 1, 2, 3, 4)
- Implement IPv4 networking architecture. (PLO 1, 2, 4)
- Implement Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). (PLO 1, 2, 4)
- Create a Domain Name System (DNS) server. (PLO 1, 2, 4)
- Implement local storage. (PLO 1, 2, 3, 4)
- Create and edit Group Policy. (PLO 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)
- Employ server virtualization using Hyper-V. (PLO 1, 2,3, 4)
