CIS 2613 - Server OS

3 Credits

This course provides the student with the skills and knowledge necessary to implement the latest core Windows Server infrastructure in an existing enterprise environment in either an on-premises strategy or an in the cloud
strategy. The course covers implementing, managing, maintaining and provisioning services and infrastructure in a Windows Server environment and implementation and configuration of core services including Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), networking services, and Microsoft Hyper-V Server configuration.

Course Level Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:

Demonstrate installation and configuration of the latest Windows Server Operating System and add roles or features to the latest Windows Server Operating System. (PLO 1, 2, 3, 4)
Implement IPv4 networking architecture. (PLO 1, 2, 4)
Implement Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). (PLO 1, 2, 4)
Create a Domain Name System (DNS) server. (PLO 1, 2, 4)
Implement local storage. (PLO 1, 2, 3, 4)
Create and edit Group Policy. (PLO 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)
Employ server virtualization using Hyper-V. (PLO 1, 2,3, 4)
