MAR 1934 - Marine Lab II

This course is a contunation of all marine courses offered in the spring.

Corequisite: MAR 1706 Service and Routine Maintenance I MAR 1716 Service and Routine Maintenance II  

Course Level Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Replace timing belt on portable and mid-range engines to industry standards. (PLO 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,)
  2. Change oil and filter on portable and mid-range engines to industry standards.
  3. Service fuel systems on portable and mid-range engines to industry standards.
  4. Inspect and replace impeller as needed on portable and mid-range engines using industry standards.
  5. Change lower unit oil on various engines. (PLO 3, 4, 5)
  6. Replace timing belt on in-line and V engines to industry standards. (PLO 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,)
  7. Change oil and filter on in-line and V engines to industry standards. (PLO 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
  8. Service fuel systems on in-line and V engines to industry standards. (PLO1,2,3,4,5)
  9. Inspect and replace impeller as needed on in-line and V engines using industry standards. (PLO 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
