PHMT 1213 - Institutional Pharmacy Practice w/Lab3 Credits
The course will expand on the student’s basic knowledge of institutional pharmacy practice by providing an in depth look into this setting. This course will provide hands on during the lab hours to enhance comprehension of concepts pertaining to the institutional pharmacy. Focus areas of learning will include pharmacy law and regulations, dispensing medications in the institutional pharmacy setting, business aspects of institutional pharmacy, communication, and medication safety and error prevention. Provide general knowledge and understanding of sterile products, aseptic techniques, parenteral compounding, and IV admixtures. Lab Fee.
Prerequisites: PHMT 1104 .
