RESP 1113 - Pulmonary Disease3 Credits This course will introduce the student to the various respiratory disease processes and their clinical manifestations through review of patient data, clinical presentation, basic laboratory tests and respiratory testing data. Emphasis will be on the role of the respiratory therapist in the assessment, recognition, and treatment of common pulmonary diseases.
Prerequisites: Acceptance into the NPCC Respiratory Care Program, BIOL 2224 , BIOL 2234 , CHEM 1104 , BIOL 2244 . Corequisite: RESP 1103 - Foundations of Respiratory Care , RESP 1104 - Cardiopulmonary Anatomy and Physiology , and RESP 1114 - Cardiopulmonary Assessment & Diagnostics . Didactic only.
