Graduation Map: Business, AS for Transfer to UAFS Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) On Campus or Online


National Park College (NPC) students interested in earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the University of Arkansas at Ft. Smith (UAFS) may complete the first two years (lower-level courses) of the Bachelor’s degree requirements at NPC by completing an Associate of Science in Business (ASB) degree and transferring to UAFS to complete the remaining program requirements.

Students completing requirements on campus may choose a major in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, International Business, or Marketing. An online option is available for Business Administration Majors.

This degree requires a total of 120 semester credit hours, including at least 45 upper-level credit hours completed at UAFS.  NPC students may transfer 75 hours of lower-level courses to UAFS. Prerequisite courses and/or developmental courses may also need to be taken in addition to the degree course requirements shown.

This semester-by-semester plan reflects the requirements to complete the Associate of Science in Business degree. Each student’s experience will vary slightly, as this plan does not include developmental courses or transfer courses. Math and English placement will be based on the student’s Accuplacer or ACT scores.

This plan assumes the student is prepared to take the courses listed. If prerequisites or developmental courses are required they should be taken in the first semester, and additional semesters may be required to complete this degree. However, courses should be scheduled in the sequential order as shown here.

NPC Business Division Graduation Requirement
A cumulative average of C (2.0) is required for graduation for all NPC programs. In addition, in order to graduate with any Business Division degree or certificate, all Business Division courses must be passed with a grade of “C” or better.

UAFS Admission and Graduation Requirements
Students must have a 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale) cumulative GPA on all previous coursework to be eligible for admission to UAFS.  Students must also earn at least a cumulative GPA of 2.25 in all NPC Business Division courses in order to meet graduation requirements for the UAFS College of Business.
