Pre-Admission Requirements:

  • Applicant must have earned the National Park College Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Care
  • Applicant must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Applicant must meet other University requirements

Respiratory Care, AAS - 57-66 Transferable Hours


National Park College (NPC) graduates who have received an Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Care are eligible to receive 29-38 hours of articulated credit if they meet specific requirements, in addition to 28 General Education/Pre-Program hours.

Additional NPC Courses - 18 Transferable Hours


75-84 Transferable Credit Hours


Number of hours articulated will depend on the Clinical Track Program chosen at UAMS.

Physics (without Trigonometry as a prerequisite) 3 credit hours

 

The UAMS RT-to-BS Degree Completion Program is designed to allow employed and/or newly-graduated respiratory therapists holding the RRT credential the opportunity to meet their educational goals as practicing professionals.

The professional program offered by UAMS has two tracks from which students may choose: The Bachelor Thesis Track (26-28 SC) and the Clinical Track (29-36 SC).

The Bachelor Thesis Track prepares the student for graduate level education through coursework that emphasizes critical appraisal of the literature, scientific writing and presentation skills.

The Clinical Track includes upper-level baccalaureate courses in research, education, leadership and management and exposes the student to clinical specialty areas in respiratory care, including the neonatal, pediatric and adult intensive care units
