ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• The student must complete the requirements necessary for general admission to UALR as well as specific admission to the UALR BSW program
• The student will have earned the Associate of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences at NPC
• The student must complete all three prerequisite courses (or the NPC equivalent) with a GPA of 2.5 or better:  SOWK 1301 (SOC 2223) Introduction to Social Work; SOCI 2300 (SOC 1103) Introduction to Sociology; and PSYC 2300 (PSYC 1103) Psychology and the Human Experience

Degree program admission requirements for students who transfer will be determined in the same manner as if their initial enrollment had been at UALR. Students must maintain a 2.5 overall GPA as well as a 2.5 GPA for social work courses

NOTE: Students interested in the online program will indicate their choice on the program application. Once admitted to UA Little Rock Online, students will not be able to register for face-to-face classes in the BSW program.
