Pre-Engineering, AS for Transfer to UA BS in Mechanical Engineering


The curriculum is designed for persons who plan to obtain an Associate of Science in Mechanical Engineering at National Park College (NPC) and transfer to the University of Arkansas (UA) to complete a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree. Students should be aware that prerequisite courses and/or developmental courses may need to be taken in addition to this suggested plan of study.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

A NPC student who holds an Associate of Science in Engineering with at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA will be accepted for transfer into the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program subject to the following conditions:

  • The UAF operates under a selective admissions policy. Transferring students are subject to all procedures relative to this policy. These procedures are available on the UAF Admissions website.
  • All courses in the AS in Engineering completed with a grade of “C” or higher and required for the degree will be applied to the bachelor’s degree.
