The curriculum is designed for persons who plan to obtain an Associate of Science in Education at National Park College (NPC) and transfer to the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) to complete a Bachelor of Science in Education in Middle Level Education (Math & Social Studies) degree. Students should be aware that prerequisite courses and/or developmental courses may need to be taken in addition to this suggested plan of study.
Students completing the AS in Education degree requirements, as shown below, with a minimum 2.7 cumulative GPA, will have satisfied the UCA Lower-Division Core requirements and will be admitted to the BSE in Middle Level Education (Math + Social Studies) degree program as a junior. A passing score on the Praxis I exam (or satisfactory scores on the ACT or SAT as per Arkansas Department of Education guidelines), is also required. See additional program requirements below.

- Upon successful completion of the admission process as outlined here (uca.edu/teaching/mladmission and uca.edu/ocs/admission-requirements), students will be eligible for admission to the UCA College of Education.
- UCA transfer course designations are either guaranteed by ACTS (acts.adhe.edu) or have been approved as a substitution by UCA. Unless otherwise noted, courses for which no UCA equivalent course is listed would transfer in as elective credit.
- For more specific information about degree requirements within the junior and senior years at UCA, please review the UCA Undergraduate Bulletin (http://uca.edu/ubulletin) and consult your UCA academic advisor.
