The curriculum is designed for persons who plan to obtain an Associate of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences at National Park College (NPC) and transfer to the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) to complete a Bachelor of Science in Addiction Studies (Treatment) degree. Students should be aware that prerequisite courses and/or developmental courses may need to be taken in addition to this suggested plan of study.
Students completing the degree requirements, as shown below, with a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA, will have satisfied the UCA Lower-Division Core requirements and will be admitted to the BS in Addiction Studies (Treatment) degree program as a junior.
This degree program requires a total of 120 semester credit hours, including at least 40 upper-division credit hours completed at UCA.

Agreement requirements are guaranteed in accordance with the academic year of initial enrollent at NPC, not to precede the academic year during which the agreement first took effect. A period of non-enrollment of 12 months or more requires that the student adhere to the agreement revision corresponding with the academic year of re-enrollment.
UCA courses are either guaranteed by ACTS (acts.adhe.edu) or by UCA Department Chair approval (if blank, elective credit will be awarded).

General Education Core Requirements
All state institutions of higher education in Arkansas have a 35-hour minimum general education core requirement with specified hours in each of seven academic areas. English (6), Mathematics (3), Science (8), Fine Arts (3), Humanities (3), US History (3), and Social Sciences (9).
