NUR 1201 - Critical Thinking Applications II1 Credits The focus of Critical Thinking Applications II is to practice application of clinical decision making skills in simulated medical-surgical patient care situations. Exemplars will be used to enhance nursing skills for patient care, within the nursing process format, and will be utilized to stimulate the student to think critically, problem solve, and make clinical decisions while applying the principles of patient centered care, quality and safety standard, and evidence based practice guidelines. The students will synthesize knowledge and skills from NUR 1001 Critical Thinking Applications I and NUR 1108 Nursing Process I are reinforced and related to new content and skills. NUR 1201 is taught concurrently with NUR 1208 Nursing Process II . All students must satisfactorily pass NUR 1201 in order to progress to the 3rd semester of the program.
